Reasons to Use ChromeOS Over Windows

Today, there is fierce competition in the tech industry, especially among giants of the industry like Apple, Google, and Microsoft. Unlike in the past, when Windows OS was the only available choice, things are different nowadays. Chrome OS is taking the world by storm.

This OS is a force to reckon with, and no wonder people even who used to be diehards of Windows are transitioning to Chrome OS. Here are some reasons why you need to consider switching to Chrome OS.

Improved Stability

Today the world is fast-paced, and one vital thing is ensuring stability, and this is what Windows lack. Windows has frequent updates which have proven to be problematic. For this reason, they always come with new bugs that can drive users crazy. Updating your computer can be a nightmare if you use Windows. This is not the case when you use Chrome OS, as there are consistent updates every six weeks, which makes it more stable. Because of this and the fact that Chrome OS is built on Linux, it is right to say this operating system outclasses Windows as far as security is concerned.

Security and Data Backup

If anything happens when using a laptop running on Windows, you can say goodbye to your files. And even if you have a backup, it would take time to find them. On the other hand, Chrome OS steps up data backup and security. So even if your Chromebook is lost, you can access the data by simply signing in to your new machine since they have a cloud-based storage device service.

Performance on Budget

At times Windows can take longer to boot. Even it gets to your desktop screen fast, it takes time for your machine to finish loading background apps. You will have to spend a lot of money on upgrades to get high-end performance on Windows. With Chromebooks, with the aid of Chrome OS, you can get the next level of performance on a low budget. Besides, you can get high-end Chromebooks at reasonable prices to carry out your daily tasks.

App Stores

After the release of Windows 10 S, applications downloaded from Windows Store are the only ones that can run on your machine. This can be improved, but you do not have a guarantee that it will meet your needs. Chrome Web Store has been increasingly getting popular because of the countless app selection and Android support applications. You will get new updates on PlayStore daily, meaning you will have an abundance of options.google

Hardware Compatibility

If you want to stress yourself, you need to try migrating from one Windows PC to the next. Even if the OS version is the same, it is not easy to do this. You would have to use third-party tools to get the job done, and buying and downloading can be a real hassle.

Chrome OS, on the other hand, offers you an effective and simple solution when moving to new hardware. You need to log in to your Chromebook with your Google account, and you are good to go.
