Aquarium of the Pacific is one of the largest aquariums
in the United States. Its more than 500 species fill
19 major habitats and 32 focus exhibits and take visitors
on a journey throughout the Pacific Ocean's three regions:
Southern California/Baja, the Tropical Pacific, and the
Northern Pacific.

Hollywood,

Hollywood
is synonymous with the film industry, portraying visions
of glamor and nostalgia to a degree unmatched anywhere
else. Visitors to the area will be unable to miss the infamous
50-foot Hollywood Sign set atop the Hollywood Hills. Hollywood
Boulevard is also a destination most tourists won't want
to miss. The Hollywood Walk of Fame encompasses 18 blocks
of large metal stars embedded in the sidewalk that honor
Hollywood's finest stars of the past and the present. Grauman's
Chinese Theatre is another must-see attraction along Hollywood
Boulevard. The theatre itself opened in 1927, the same
year movie idols began leaving their hand and footprints
outside the building. Today over 200 prints exist for tourists
to admire. Hollywood is only 30 minutes from Long Beach,
and various companies offer tours and activities for visitors
to see all the attractions. |

south of Long Beach, be sure to check out the beaches and
attractions that the real OC has to offer. Visit such places
as Newport and Huntington Beach, where you’ll find plenty
of shopping and nightlife. If you're feeling really adventurous,
take a drive along the coast to Laguna Beach, where you
can treat yourself to a walk on the beach with a tasty
ice cream cone. |
